School Yunost opened its doors in February of 2014, and was inspired by parents who see the upkeep of cultural traditions as one of the most important elements of their child’s upbringing. School Yunost served the Charlotte community for six years by offering classes to develop Russian language proficiency, theater arts, music, fine arts, dance, and chess for children and adults. The school was closed at the end of the 2020 spring semester during the Covid-19 pandemic.
